– Suitable for: Horses in light work, such as those ridden lightly but frequently.
– The good: Most of the coat remains, so horses need minimal extra management and can often be turned out with the same level of rugging as an unclipped horse.
– The bad: As only a small area is clipped, horses should be monitored carefully when being worked to ensure they are not overheating.
